PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heart-lung machine capable of varying the flow of blood similarly to the variation of the flow of the blood by pulsation of an actual heart, and a control method of the heart-lung machine.SOLUTION: A heart-lung machine 1 includes a tube part 13 for circulating the blood of a subject, and a blood feed pump 30 for moving the blood inside the tube part. At the tube part on the downstream side of the blood feed pump, a valve part 52 for closing the flow of the blood is formed, also a blood amount detection part 52 for detecting a blood amount staying between the valve part and the blood feed pump by the closure of the valve part is provided, and the valve part is opened and closed on the basis of detection information of the blood amount detection part. |
