Provided are a digital broadcast transmission device, which is power-saving and space-saving and is equipped with an AGC function that allows output levels of many kinds to be easily set, and an exciter. At a level adjustment section (8) to which a baseband digital signal is input from a modulation processing section (1), an error signal is generated by a comparator (82) from a difference between a level signal, which is obtained by digitizing a feedback signal from a power amplifier (PA) by means of an A/D converter (6), and a reference voltage, which is generated by a reference generation section (81), and AGC for achieving a constant transmission output from the power amplifier (PA) is performed at an AGC multiplier/divider (85) by digitally multiplying/dividing the baseband digital signal by a gain count so as to bring the error signal to zero. |
