The actuator (1) has a pyrotechnic ignitor (11) arranged in a hollow body (3) whose one side (4) includes a fastening unit (8) and another side (6) includes a coupling part (9). The coupling part is disconnected after triggering the ignitor due to the pressure surge resulting in a pyrotechnic reaction is separated from the hollow body. A disk-shaped elastic sealing part (19) is arranged in the hollow body, and comprises a sealing region, which closes an opening developed by the separation of the coupling part in the hollow body. An independent claim is also included for a connecting device.
