The method involves creating the static predetermined characteristic sizes based on the prediction of driving maneuvers. The automatically specific measures are initiated based on the predetermined characteristic sizes. A particular model for the occupants of the motor car (1) is created. The current rider intention is derived based on a synopsis of each model and determined and/or statically predefined sizes. A warning strategy is defined based on the derived rider intention of the current rider, and motor car rider assistance system is adjusted if necessary.
