The device averages photoelectric conversion characteristics for each classification number (i) under non-standard imaging conditions, and sets a typical condition having the classification number (i) under the non-standard imaging conditions. The device stores the LUT of the typical characteristic having the classification number (i) under the non-standard imaging condition in the characteristic conversion LUT (125). The device compares the photoelectric conversion characteristics of a pixel (j) under the non-standard imaging condition and the typical characteristics under the non-standard imaging condition, and stores the value by which the classification number of the typical characteristic closest to the photoelectric conversion characteristic of the pixel (j) differs from the classification number of the pixel (j) in a classification number correction value memory (122) as a classification number correction value of the pixel (j) under an imaging condition (B).</p>
