PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long article catch prevention device for an elevator, compatible with a shake such as an earthquake with a simple structure and reliably preventing a long article from being caught.SOLUTION: In a long article catch prevention device 14 for an elevator, provided to an apparatus bracket 7 supported by a guide rail 5 guiding a car 3 and extended substantially parallel to a hoistway wall 1 to prevent a long article from being caught by a protruding object, the long article catch prevention device comprises: a protector 14a displaceably provided to an end part of the apparatus bracket 7 via a hinge 14c and extended toward the hoistway wall 1; and an elastic body (14b) pressing an end part of the protector 14a to the hoistway wall 1. |
