PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tray device for enabling a control circuit to detect that external force acts on a tray to move the tray even with a simple configuration, and video audio equipment using the tray device.SOLUTION: The tray device includes a tray for mounting a recording medium thereon, a tray movement mechanism for moving the tray to perform opening operation or a closing operation, a motor for driving the tray movement mechanism, a motor circuit connected to the motor, and a control circuit for controlling the motor circuit. The motor circuit includes a drive circuit for supplying current to the motor, and a current detection circuit for detecting current flowing to the motor, and if external force acts on the tray to move the tray when the motor circuit short-circuits the motor to stop the tray at any position, the control circuit receives an output signal of the current detection circuit of the motor circuit to detect the movement of the tray. |
