METHODS, APPARATUSES AND COMPUTER PROGRAMS FOR ESTABLISHING AN EMERGENCY|SESSION BETWEEN A UE AND A PSAP RELATING TO EMERGENCY SUB-SERVICES

Embodiments provide a method of establishing an emergency session between a UE accessing an IMS network, and an emergency service centre. The emergency service centre (or PSAP) relates to one of a plurality of emergency sub-services. A session initiation request, sent from the UE to the IMS, includes the dialled digits of an emergency number. The digits of the dialled emergency number are analysed, to determine a corresponding emergency sub-service. The session establishment request is then routed to an emergency service centre of the corresponding emergency sub-service.
