PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal printer with wide width of the design at a low price.SOLUTION: There is provided a thermal printer that has: a body in which a thermal head is provided; an openable and closable cover connected to the body by a first rotation fulcrum; a platen roller that presses the thermal head provided in the cover; and a platen holding part that is connected to the cover by a second rotation fulcrum and holds the platen roller, wherein the platen roller engages an engaging part of the body part while the platen holding member is rotating centering on a rotating fulcrum when closing the cover. |
