PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite magnetic material wherein tabular magnetic particles are excellently oriented in a resin and therefore a real part μr' of a complex magnetic permeability can be raised, a method for manufacturing the composite magnetic material, an antenna, and a communication device.SOLUTION: A composite magnetic material includes a resin having a cyclic structure in a main chain and having functional groups polymerizing by a monomer unit, and tabular magnetic particles. A method for manufacturing the composite magnetic material, and an antenna equipped with the magnetic material are also provided. Preferably, the resin is an epoxy resin, and more preferably, a dicyclopentadiene epoxy resin.
