PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition, capable of forming a satisfactory water-proofing and moisture-proofing film on a variety of materials, particularly, an electronic component which requires high resistance to chemical corrosion, without inhibiting the performance thereof.SOLUTION: A coating composition for water-proofing and moisture-proofing contains: (I) a fluorine-containing polymer which has constituent units derived respectively from (1) an acrylic acid ester that has a fluoroalkyl group ester-bonded to a carboxyl group either directly or via a divalent organic group and can have a substituent group at the α-position and (2) a monomer having a high softening point; and (II) a fluorine-based solvent. This coating composition can form a coating film having good water-proofing and moisture-proofing properties on an electronic component. requiring high resistance to chemical corrosion, without impairing the performance thereof. |
