The invention relates to a method for the production of cold, characterised in that it comprises the following steps consisting in: bringing a fluid (L) into contact with at least one ultra-wetting surface (S1, S2); and causing a non-turbulent flow of said fluid above said surface, with a sufficiently low shear rate to satisfy a non-slip condition between the fluid and the surface. The invention also relates to a cooling device for implementing such a method.
