PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for a vibration generator and the vibration generator which are easily assembled and achieve low manufacturing costs and high reliability.SOLUTION: A vibration generator 701 includes: a frame 20; a bottom plate attached to the frame 20; a coil; and a holder 750. The holder 750 has a structure where a holding part 455 holding a vibrator 480 is connected with four columnar bodies 51 through four arm parts 53. The holder 750 holds the plate like vibrator 480 composed of a magnet 460 and a yoke 470 so that the vibrator 480 moves relative to the frame 20. A slit 754 is formed in each arm part 53. Forming a slit 754 allows each portion of the arm part 53 to be deformed more uniformly and makes the arm part 53 less likely to be damaged when the vibrator 480 displaces. Thus, the reliability of the holder 750 is improved.
