PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably drive an engine, the engine being installed for operating an air-conditioning device.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device includes: a vehicle drive motor 42 that is driven by power supplied from a vehicle drive battery and drives driving wheels; a power generation motor 43 that is driven by an engine 12 and supplies power to the vehicle drive battery 41; and an air-conditioning device 20 that is operated by the engine 12 being driven and performs temperature adjustment of a vehicle cabin. In addition, the vehicle control device includes: an air-conditioning control part 62 that, when an operation request to the air-conditioning device 20 is made, maintains output that has been set in advance, drives the engine 12, and operates the air-conditioning device 20; and a power generation control part 63 that, when it is determined that a charging amount of the vehicle drive battery 41 is a threshold value that has been set in advance or less, and the vehicle has been stopped, maintains output that has been set in advance, drives the engine 12, drives the power generation motor 43, and charges the vehicle drive battery 41. |
