PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically control power source on/off and the like of consumer electronics/house apparatuses according to settings of total power consumption.SOLUTION: A power consumption adjustment system comprising a controller having a control unit and communication unit, and at least one instruction device having an input unit and communication unit receives an operation state of an apparatus operated electrically as input and grasps total power consumption; gives an instruction to change a setting value of an upper limit of power consumption to the control unit of the controller through the communication unit in the instruction device and the communication unit in the controller, when a user's instruction to change the setting value of the upper limit of power consumption is given through the input unit in the instruction device; makes the control unit in the controller calculate an effect for each apparatus operated electrically and determine an operational control instruction for the apparatus operated electrically on the basis of the effect; and makes the communication unit in the controller transmit the operational control instruction. |
