PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that can precisely position a paper sheet in the width direction for always forming an image at an accurate position on the paper sheet regardless of the size of the shifting amount of the paper sheet position.SOLUTION: An image forming device includes: a photoreceptor 1; a drawing part to draw an electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor; a registration roller 12 which not only carries a paper sheet P but also swings the paper sheet in the width direction orthogonal to the carrying direction of the paper sheet and adjusts the width directional position of the paper sheet during being carried to a reference position; a detection part to detect the position in the width direction of the paper sheet to detect a first shifting amount from the reference position; and a control part to control the swing of the registration roller. If the first shifting amount of the paper sheet is less than a predetermined amount, the control part swings the paper sheet by the registration roller at a predetermined swing amount more than the predetermined amount and offsets a second shifting amount of the paper sheet for the reference position generated by the swing of the predetermined swing amount by the change of the drawing position by the drawing part for forming the image at a predetermined position. |
