PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a container which is easy in treatment, and a mold for thermal molding useful for the manufacturing method of the container.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a container includes a step for manufacturing a polypropylene resin sheet by thermal molding. A container has a bottom, a peripheral sidewall standing upward from the outer periphery of the bottom, and a brim extending outward from an upper end of the peripheral sidewall. The bottom and the peripheral sidewall form a receiving concave part for receiving a substance to be received, and the brim is formed as to surround an upper opening of the receiving concave part. There is provided the manufacturing method or the like is characterized that the thermal molding is performed so that the tip of the brim falls downward at a tilt angle of ≥1 and ≤10 degrees.
