PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backside protective sheet for a solar cell module, by which the occurrence of water intrusion into a solar cell module is easily detected to allow detection of initial failure and deterioration of the solar cell module.SOLUTION: A water-soluble resin layer containing cobalt chloride is provided on that surface of the backside protective sheet for a solar cell module which is on the photovoltaic element side. Thus, the occurrence of water intrusion into a solar cell module is easily detected by confirming discoloration due to water intrusion from a crack.
