RANDOM ACCESS METHOD AND RECEIVER

Provided are a random access method and a receiver. The random access method includes: after startup, a receiver performing cell search and downlink synchronization to acquire a time reference; the receiver acquiring the distance between itself and a base station; the receiver selecting a random access format according to a parameter of the system where it is located and a load condition; the receiver acquiring a cell radius supported by the selected random access format, and calculating a horizon transmission time delay if the cell radius is smaller than the distance; and based on the time reference, the receiver transmitting a random access subframe in advance of the horizon transmission time delay.
