The vessel has an upwardly open tray (1) that is equipped with a bottom surface (2). An interior wall (4) is formed of a lower opening (3) at the bottom surface of the open tray, for receiving a positioning element, and an upper opening (5). The height of the interior wall is quarter the height of the open tray in the vertical direction. The interior wall is adapted to close the lower opening in the vertical direction of the open tray. An independent claim is included for a drinking vessel transport system.
