<p>A hand dryer equipped with a hand-drying chamber (3), a nozzle (5), a high-pressure air blower (4), and a hand-detection unit (6), wherein the hand-detection unit (6) is configured from a sensor-signal transmission unit (6c) and a sensor-signal receiving unit (6d). The sensor-signal transmission unit (6c) and the sensor-signal receiving unit (6d) are provided so as to face one another near the nozzle (5). A sensor substrate (6b) equipped with either the sensor-signal transmission unit (6c) or the sensor-signal receiving unit (6d) is further provided with an illumination unit (7) for illuminating the bottom (3c) of the hand-drying chamber (3).</p> |
