PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens shift mechanism that hardly complicates a structure even when shifting a projection lens unit in one direction orthogonal to an optical axis, and facilitates a shift operation, and to provide a projection type picture display device including the lens shift mechanism.SOLUTION: The lens shift mechanism comprises: a position shift holding member 24 that includes a lens attachment member in which a projection lens unit is fixed and a shift holding mechanism to which the lens attachment member is mounted and enabling a position shift of the lens attachment member and its position holding; a fixed flange part 22 that holds the position shift holding member 24 in a slide-contactable manner or separatably; a pivot 26 that is provided on one end side where the fixed flange part 22 faces the position shift holding member 24 and holds the position shift holding member 24 rotatably and shiftably with respect to the fixed flange part 22; and a position shift holding mechanism that is disposed on the other end side of the position shift holding member 24 and enables an arc-like position shift of the projection lens unit around the pivot 26 and its position holding. |
