PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping device of an elevator tail cord capable of damping the swinging of the tail cord by a simple structure even if a car is located at a top floor.SOLUTION: A vibration damping device of an elevator tail cord is provided in which one end of the tail cord is attached to a hoistway 50 and the other end abuts on a bent part 2R formed at the vertically lowest part of the tail cord 2 when a car 1 is located at a top of the hoistway 50 and imparts tension while being composed to displace an abutting position to the tail cord 2 following the displacement of the tail cord 2. |
