摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling a flow of shot particles which controls the quality of a shot-processed layer by measuring a variation in the flow of the shot particles charged in a pipe system for force-feeding shot particles in a shot peening process performed to improve the steam oxidation resistance of a pipe internal surface.SOLUTION: In a method of controlling a flow of shot particles 1 formed of a magnetic substance, using a flow measuring device for the shot particles which includes an exciting coil 12 forming a field allowing the shot particles to pass therethrough and a detection coil 11 which is disposed in proximity to the exciting coil and generates an inductive voltage changed when the shot particles pass through the field formed by the exciting coil and which obtains the flow of the shot particles from a signal output from the detection coil, the exciting coil is installed on the downstream side of a pipe system for force-feeding the shot particles, and a variation in the flow of the shot particles is measured.
