Provided is a power conversion device having a converter (2) and an inverter (4), the device also being provided with a capacitor (3) for storing DC power, a pulsation detector (8) for detecting pulsations in the effective power which is output by the inverter (4), a voltage measuring device (15) for measuring the voltage of the capacitor (3), a DC voltage command unit (16) for obtaining voltage command values of the capacitor (3) in accordance with the frequency of the AC voltage which is output by the inverter (4), and a DC voltage control unit (17) for controlling the converter (2) in such a way that the voltage which has been measured by the voltage measuring device (15) and the command value which has been obtained by the DC voltage command unit (16) are input and the voltage of the capacitor (3) reaches the command value. If the voltage of the capacitor (3) is within the specified range including the pulsation frequency, the DC voltage command unit (16) raises the voltage of the capacitor (3) to higher than usual. |
