PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yarn detector of a spinning machine which, in the spinning machine including a plurality of ring plates provided in a machine base, when the ring plate is removed, eliminates the need for removing signal wiring between yarn detecting units and an electrical wire for transmitting electrical power and the need for disconnecting a connector.SOLUTION: A spinning machine includes a plurality of ring plates 11 provided in a machine base. The ring plates 11 each include a yarn detecting unit 16 including a yarn sensor 14 having a detecting unit provided in each spindle, and a determining unit determining a status of the yarn in each spindle on the basis of a detection signal from the yarn sensor 14. The signal is wirelessly exchanged between the detecting unit and a main controlling device 23. The ring plates 11 each include a non-contact power transmitting device 30 transmitting power between the adjacent ring plates in a non-contact manner. Power is supplied to each yarn detecting units 16 through the non-contact power transmitting device 30. |
