PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disinfectant which is non-irritant for people, is even used in low concentration, is not corrosive, and which outstandingly inactivates hepatitis B virus.SOLUTION: A water-based disinfectant contains: (a) 5 to 20 wt.% of dioctyl dimethylammonium chloride; and (b) further one or more substances selected from 0.5 to 2 wt.% of sodium oleate, an alkyl polyoxyalkylene glycol ether, and a short chain organic acid selected from lactic acid, glycolic acid, citric acid, malic acid, succinic acid, tartaric acid, formic acid, acetic acid and propionic acid or a salt thereof, as well as an alcohol selected from ethanol, n-propanol, isopropanol, glycol, and phenoxy propanol. |
