PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device capable of effectively utilizing a power generation voltage of a generator.SOLUTION: The charging device for charging a battery (hybrid battery 14) which is mounted on a vehicle and is constituted by connecting a secondary battery (secondary battery component 14d) and a capacitor (capacitor component 14b) in parallel includes control means (control unit 10) which performs control so that a pulse voltage having an amplitude higher than that of a terminal voltage of the secondary battery is applied to charge the capacitor and the secondary battery is charged with electric charges accumulated in the capacitor.
