PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water electrolysis apparatus capable of using the photoelectromotive force of a solar cell to generate a hydrogen gas efficiently, and capable of simplifying.SOLUTION: A water electrolysis apparatus includes a photoelectric conversion part, a water electrolysis part, and at least one switch. The water electrolysis part has at least one electrode pair that consists of a first electrolysis electrode and a second electrolysis electrode, the photoelectric conversion part has at least one photoelectric conversion unit, the photoelectric conversion unit includes at least one photoelectric conversion cell, and the switch is installed to selectively form a cable run to output the photoelectromotive force of the photoelectric conversion unit externally and a cable run to output the photoelectromotive force of the photoelectric conversion unit to the first and second electrolysis electrodes. |
