This battery mounting structure is provided with a locking device (23) for securing and releasing a battery (13) that has been mounted onto a mounting part (16), and an auxiliary removal lever (24) for pushing the battery (13) in its released state outward in the removal direction from the mounting part (16). The locking device (23) has a cylindrical locking barrel (27), and the auxiliary removal lever (24) has a pushing member (32) for pushing the battery (13) in the removal direction and is supported by being fitted onto the locking barrel (27) in a freely rotating fashion.
