The device has an induction coil (20) integrated in a battery cell housing (10) of a battery cell. Metallic devices are designed as a cell winding (30), metallic electrodes and ferromagnetic metallic films in which eddy current is induced in the battery cell by an electromagnetic alternating field that is produced by the induction coil, so that one of the metallic devices is heated by the electromagnetic alternating field. The metallic electrodes consist of a multilayered structure. An electrode arrester film is connected to an edge of a metallic ferromagnetic film. An independent claim is also included for a method for heating a heatable battery device with a battery cell.
