PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin foam and foam sealing material, excellent in thickness recovery performance (rate) after its compressive deformation, being flexible even under a low temperature environment and capable of satisfying both instantaneous recovery and impact absorption.SOLUTION: A resin foam has ≥50% thickness recovery rate defined as below at 23°C, and <10.0 N/cmrepulsion stress defined as below at -10°C and at 50% compression rate. The thickness recovery rate: the ratio of the thickness obtained by compressing the resin foam to the thickness of 20% of the initial thickness for 1 min in the thickness direction, then releasing the compressed state and after passing 1 s from the release of compressed state, to the initial thickness. The repulsion stress at 50% compression: an anti-repulsion load on compressing the resin foam to a thickness of 50% of the initial thickness in the thickness direction. |
