PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing impurities in a simple and easy way from a polymer electrolyte solution, particularly, a polymer electrolyte solution containing impurities after polymerization, and to provide a polymer electrolyte obtained thereby.SOLUTION: A method for producing a polymer electrolyte includes: a step of depositing a polymer electrolyte by mixing a polymer electrolyte solution and a first acid; and a step of washing the deposited polymer electrolyte with a second acid different from the first acid.
