PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To locally provide a warning sign to a preceding vehicle entering before an own vehicle in a state in which a sufficient inter-vehicular distance is not ensured.SOLUTION: A lighting controller of a vehicle headlamp includes: a vehicle detection part for detecting a preceding vehicle based on an image before an own vehicle; a vehicular gap determination part for determining whether a vehicular gap between the preceding vehicle and the own vehicle is smaller than a reference inter-vehicular distance value based on the image; a vehicle-width direction distance determination part for determining whether a vehicle-width direction distance between the preceding vehicle and the own vehicle is smaller than a reference vehicle-width value based on the image; and a light distribution control part which sets a light distribution pattern where a range corresponding to the position of the preceding vehicle is a light irradiation target when the determination results of the inter-vehicular distance determination part and the vehicle-width direction distance determination part are affirmative, and which sets a light distribution pattern where the range corresponding to the position of the preceding vehicle is a light shielding target when the determination result of at least the inter-vehicular distance determination part is negative and which outputs the light distribution patterns to the vehicle headlamp. |
