The invention relates to a device for moving a furniture flap of a piece of furniture, wherein the device comprises bearing means via which the furniture flap is movably mounted on a furniture body (2). According to the invention the device comprises a tension element arrangement comprising a tension element and a drive motor (5) for driving the tension element in such a manner that in the mounted state of the device a first end of the tension element is received on a winding element and a second end of the tension element is associated with the furniture flap, wherein with a winding process of the tension element (6, 16) the furniture flap can be brought out of a position in which it is closed with respect to the furniture body (2) into an open position.
