ROUTE MAINTENANCE PROTECTIVE MEMBER AND WIRE HARNESS

A route maintenance protective member is provided to maintain a route while protecting a wiring section including at least a single wire. The route maintenance protective member is formed in an elongated shape extending along the arranged route of the wiring section. The route maintenance protective member comprises: a route maintenance section including a pair of fitting grooves along the extending direction; and a protective body section which includes a pair of fitting edges that respectively fit in the pair of the fitting grooves. The pair of fitting edges are formed by heating and pressing both circumferential ends of a rectangular sheet-like nonwoven fabric material that is shaped cylindrically to cover the outer periphery of the wiring section and is separated at a position in the circumferential direction. The protective body section is formed to bend and deform as a whole in the direction orthogonal to the central axis direction of the cylindrical shape.
