<p>A short message enciphering/deciphering method and apparatus. The enciphering method comprises: a short message sending apparatus generating a first symmetrical enciphering key, and enciphering a first short message by use of the first symmetrical enciphering key, to generate a second short message; the short message sending apparatus enciphering the first symmetrical enciphering key by use of a locally set public key, to generate a second symmetrical enciphering key; and the short message sending apparatus sending the second short message and the second symmetrical enciphering key to a short message receiving apparatus, to instruct the short message receiving apparatus to decipher the second short message based on the second symmetrical enciphering key, to obtain the first short message. In solutions of embodiments of the present invention, under the premise of ensuring short message transmission security, the short message enciphering procedure is simplified, the complexity of the short message enciphering procedure is effectively reduced, and the work efficiency of the apparatus is improved.</p> |
