The invention describes a nacelle test apparatus (1) for testing a wind turbine nacelle (11), comprising a physical tower model apparatus (2) realised to model the behaviour of a wind turbine tower (12); and/or a physical rotor model apparatus (3) realised to model the behaviour of a wind turbine rotor (13); and an exciter apparatus (20, 30) for exciting a physical model apparatus (2, 3). The invention further describes a method of testing a wind turbine nacelle (11), which method comprises mounting the nacelle (11) onto a physical tower model apparatus (2) of a nacelle test apparatus (1), which physical tower model apparatus (2) is realised to model the behaviour of a wind turbine tower (12); and/or mounting a physical rotor model apparatus (3) of the nacelle test apparatus (1) to a hub (131) of the nacelle (11), which physical rotor model apparatus (3) is realised to model the behaviour of a wind turbine rotor (13); and exciting the physical tower model apparatus (2) and/or the physical rotor model apparatus (3) . |
