The invention relates to a method and apparatus for measuring LET distributions and the energy of beams of hadrons or ions. The method and apparatus of the invention are based on ionisation chambers, tools usually used in radiation therapy dosimetry. The invention is intended for dosimetry check techniques used for ion or hadron therapy beams.
