<p>A capping system 30 for cables X, Y or pipes has a length of generally U-shaped capping 40 having a base 41, side walls 42A,42B extending from the base, and fixing apertures 44 in the base at spaced intervals along the base, and a plurality of spacers 50. Each spacer can be fitted to a fixing aperture by shells 54A, 54B, and has recesses 53A, 53B to secure the cable. In use, cable can be placed in the U-shaped capping and secured to the capping using the spacers, and the capping then placed against a wall and secured to a wall with a fixing (40, Fig 1) passing through a hollow core 52 of the spacer. The spacers may be disc-shaped grommets (20, Fig 1) with flanges, and may have a tail which permanently deforms (see Fig 2C) when the capping is attached to a wall.</p> |
