Method for indirectly establishing a call between a mobile station and a public service answering point

A call is indirectly established by triggering a call register (24) to request a mobile switching center (14), associated with a mobile station (10), to establish a call between the mobile station and a second party. In an example, an emergency call back is established between the mobile station (10) and a public service answering point (20). A method is also disclosed to add a party to an existing call, sending a request to a mobile switching center serving an existing call between the mobile station and a second party, to add a third party associated with a service identified in the request.
