327,880. Imperial Chemical Industries, Ltd., and Bennett, J. P. May 3, 1929. Sliding-clasp fastenings.-Stringers 1 and 2 edged with interlocking members 3 are completely separable. A metal end fitting 12 on the stringer 1 contains a hollow rectangular chamber into which is fitted a metal prong 5 which caps the other stringer, the latter being inserted through a slider cam 4 when the cam butts up against the fitting 12. Fittings 12 and 5 are formed into pieces 15 and 7 and secured by rivets and are connected to the teeth 3 by extensions 18 and 10. |
