The present invention relates to an apparatus for molding glass sheets which comprises: a glass supporting portion which positions and supports a glass sheet on the upper part; an upper molding part on the top part which contains an upper mold having a lower surface with blowing openings; and a lower mold which is positioned between the glass supporting portion and the upper mold and contains a lower mold with a concave upper surface. The upper mold includes a suction part for side parts which generates upward suction flow along the outer side part of the upper mold and a downward blowing unit which supplies air towards blowing openings through which downward blowing flow is generated toward the outer part of the upper mold. After the upper molding part attaches glass sheets positioned on the glass supporting portion at least on one region of the lower surface by the upward suction flow, the glass sheets move to the concave upper surface of the lower mold, and the upper mold compresses the upper surface of glass sheets positioned on the concave surface by the downward blowing flow.
