Alignment arrangement for a filter cartridge, filter cartridge and filter housing

A removable alignment device for a filter cartridge (6) that ensures that a port of the filter cartridge is liquid tightly sealed to the port of a head of a housing even if there is insufficient room beneath the bowl to allow one to physically secure the cartridge port to the head port before securing the head and the bowl together. The alignment device comprises a base formed so as to be removably attached to portion of the filter cartridge (6), said base being of a height sufficient to cause the filter cartridge (6) to seat in a filter housing (2,4) when assembled and/or of a width sufficient to center the filter cartridge (6) within the filter housing (2,4) when assembled.
