Detection device (10) to detect the temperature in a cooking apparatus (11) having a container (15) to contain the food to be cooked or heated, to which an electric resistance (17) is associated. The detection device (10) comprises a temperature sensor (20) suitable to be disposed in proximity to or in contact with the container (15) and provided with a containing element (21). At least one sealing element (40, 42, 50) is associated to the containing element (21) to achieve the watertight seal of the temperature sensor (20).
