The method involves transmitting data class in a predetermined time slot for multiple network devices (100,200,300) of a network arrangement (1), where the network devices are communicatively coupled to each other, particularly in ring form. The data of other classes is sent or forwarded by the network device during the predetermined time slot to temporarily receive the data of the former class. The data of the former class is transmitted isochronous between the network devices during the predetermined time slot. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program product for performing the operating method; and (2) a network arrangement with sensor- or actuator devices for operating a vehicle.
