Adapter-like device for coupling two containers

The adapter-shaped device (1) has two relatively together movable adapter elements (2,6), from which the former adapter element is fixed to a container (10) and the latter adapter element is detachably fixed to another container (20). A locking arrangement (14) is provided to protect the adapter elements in the closed position before unwanted relative movement. The locking arrangement is detachable by two independent force effects on the adapter elements to allow a relative adjustment of the adapter elements.
