PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a flowmeter with relatively low detection accuracy without using a steam accumulator, and preventing increase in steam pressure due to an error of the flowmeter. SOLUTION: This boiler control system includes: one or a plurality of boilers 1 of which combustion amount is adjustable; a flow rate detector 6 for detecting a steam flow rate; and a pressure detector 7 for detecting steam pressure. In this combustion control method for the boiler 1, based on the detected flow rate by the flow rate detector 6, the base combustion amount of the boiler 1 is set, and the base combustion amount is corrected based on the detection pressure by the pressure detector 7. In setting the base combustion amount, based on a detected flow rate obtained by subtracting a set error from the detected flow rate, the base combustion amount is set.
