PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for a suspension having grounding means capable of sufficiently preventing electrostatic destruction and suppressing noises with few faults when components to be arranged on the substrate for the suspension are arranged. SOLUTION: The substrate for the suspension includes: a metal substrate which has an opening for a ground terminal; an insulating layer which is formed on the metal substrate and is arranged so as to surround the periphery of the opening for the ground terminal; a wire for grounding which is formed on the insulating layer and is arranged so as to cover the opening for the ground terminal; a protective plated layer which is formed on the surface of the wire for grounding; and a ground terminal which is formed by filling the opening for the ground terminal with a material for a ground terminal and is connected to the metal substrate and the wire for grounding.
