The inductive extraction- or feeding device is connected to a power grid, and a measuring unit is provided to measure a physical parameter that represents the inductively transmitted electricity. An identifier is provided to identify a terminal holder of the extraction- or feeding device. The physical parameter measured at connection side is compared with the physical parameter measured at a discharge side or supply end by a comparing unit. The comparing unit is arranged to initiate an action, when the compared values differ from each other to exceed a predetermined difference threshold. An independent claim is included for a method for monitoring an inductive coupling of an electric vehicle with an inductive extraction- or feeding device.
